This course is a close study of Paul Grilley’s book ‘A Yogi’s Guide to Chakra Meditation.’ This book will be the textbook for our course.
Each day, for five days, we will read and expand on the theoretical material in the book such as: ‘What are chakras?’, ‘Why do we meditate on them?’, ‘Who was Patanjali?’, ‘What are the eight steps in his system?’
Each day we will have three meditation sessions. These sessions will be thorough explorations of the ‘Nyasa’ techniques of chakra meditation. These techniques are the foundation of chakra meditation practice. Repetitively and patiently practicing them together will give the student the confidence to explore these techniques in their own practice.
Each day will include yang asana practice in the morning, and yin asana practice in the afternoon. We will experience first hand how asana practice relieves the stresses and stagnation of sitting, and augments the practice of meditation.
The live sessions will be recorded for those who might not be able to join live because of time difference and will be available for 48 hours.
If you would like to preview the content of this course, the best way is to purchase our text ‘A Yogi’s Guide to Chakra Meditation,’ and see if you resonate with this approach to pranayama and meditation. The text is available in hardback and ebook versions from most bookstores.
Daily Schedule of Live Sessions – all times are CET
